YINGRU HUANG is a multidisciplinary artist, framing her movement-based work within her primary mediums of live dance and film, as well as other performing and visual art mediums that include photography, remixed music, composing, songwriting, written and spoken word, and many other forms via attained artistic skills and creative collaboration. Having graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors in Dance and a minor in Film, Television, and Digital Media, Yingru had the honor to work with diverse choreographers, including Kyle Abraham, Andre Zachery, Ros Warby, and Nina Flagg, to name a few. During her undergraduate career, Yingru debuted her titular dance-for-camera “TO BE: Ballet" as her department's chosen senior thesis, as well as receiving 1st Place at the FilmOneFest for her short film “The Book and Its Fairy." Exploring her personal human experience and philosophical questions about American culture and society, Yingru aims to use her multidisciplinary approach to confront, subvert, complicate, and rejoice in these cross-narratives. Ultimately, Yingru aims to diversify and unite people from different walks of life into a shared, out-of-world experience in her works. Yingru currently attends NYU to pursue her Masters in Performing Arts Administration, aiming to utilize her newfound knowledge to further her voice and others in the performing arts and multidisciplinary art field. Her newest work, titled "See You Later=Find Myself," aims to humanize the enigmatic feelings of longing, loneliness, and the radical acceptance of these navigations.
